On June 30, 2021, Hamden Police responded to the parking lot of a Fairview Avenue business regarding an ongoing investigation.
Officers approached Jonissa Williams, who was operating a stolen motor vehicle, with a stolen license plate attached. Williams was in the possession of a stolen .45 caliber handgun. Inside of the stolen vehicle, officers located 46 bullets and a bag of cocaine. She was promptly placed under arrest and transported to police headquarters.
Hamden police arrested Jonissa Williams, 34, of New Haven. She was charged with Criminal Possession of a Firearm, Theft of a Firearm, Carrying a Pistol without a Permit, Possession of Narcotics, Larceny in the 2nd Degree and Interfering with a Police Officer. Williams, who was released after posting bond, is scheduled to appear at Meriden Superior Court on August 17th.
