On March 6th at approximately 1:15a.m. Officer Andrew Lipford observed a motor vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed on Goodrich Street. A computer inquiry revealed that the operator had a suspended license. A motor vehicle stop was conducted on Bassett Street in New Haven.
Upon approaching the vehicle, the passenger fled on foot. A K-9 track was unsuccessful in locating the passenger. Officers located a small quantity of marijuana, 10 Oxycodone pills, drug paraphernalia and $245.00 inside of the vehicle. The operator of the vehicle, Erin Godfrey, was in the possession of 21.6 grams of marijuana and $249.00.
Hamden Police arrested Erin Godfrey-Jones, 22, of 20 Pond Street, New Haven. He was charged with Possession of Marijuana, Sale of a Controlled Substance, Illegal Possession of Prescription Drugs, Illegal Sale of Prescription Drugs and Failure to Keep Narcotics in Original Container. Godfrey-Jones is scheduled to appear in court in Meriden on March 20th.
