On 01/20/22 at approximately 5:45 PM, Hamden Police responded to the 2400 block of Whitney Avenue on the report of a pedestrian struck by a vehicle.
Responding officers discovered an eighteen-year-old female in the middle of the road on Whitney Avenue. The vehicle involved in the collision remained on scene.
The preliminary investigation revealed that the pedestrian was crossing the street and not utilizing the crosswalk. The victim was transported to the hospital with serious injuries.
Officer John Glass of the Hamden Police Department Patrol Division is investigating the accident. Any witnesses are asked to contact Hamden Police at 203-230-4000.
