On 02/22/22 at approximately 7:00 AM, Hamden Police responded to the intersection of Dixwell Avenue at Treadwell Street on the report of a serious motor vehicle accident. The preliminary investigation revealed that two vehicle collided in the intersection. There was one occupant in each of the vehicles. The drivers of both vehicles were treated at the scene and transported to the hospital with serious injuries.
Dixwell Avenue (between Church Street and Mather Street) will be closed in both directions for several hours while police investigate the accident. Motorists are advised to avoid the area.
