On February 23, 2017 Hamden Police responded to a Whitney Avenue residence on the report of an assault.

Investigation revealed that Dion Williams forcibly entered the residence of his girlfriend. Once inside, Williams assaulted her, punching her numerous times. He then proceeded to an upstairs bedroom and “smashed” her television. The victim sustained injuries to her arms, back and neck. Hamden Fire Rescue rendered medical assistance.

Officer William May conducted the investigation, which led to the application of an arrest warrant for Dion Williams. The court approved the arrest warrant application.

On March 19th Officer Christina Giori arrested Williams on Alstrum Street. He was subsequently transported to police headquarters.

Hamden Police arrested Dion Williams, 20, of 73 Alstrum Street, Hamden. He was charged with Burglary in the 1st Degree, Assault in the 3rd Degree and Criminal Mischief in the 1st Degree. Williams, who was detained on a court-ordered $7,500.00 bond, was scheduled to appear in court in Meriden today.
