On April 5, 2022, at approximately 7:45 a.m., Hamden Police Department’s Central Communications Division received a telephone call regarding a bomb threat at Hamden High School.
Hamden Police along, with the Board of Education staff, put a plan in place to evacuate the building. With the assistance of Canine Units from the New Haven Police Department and the Yale-University Police Department, the school and surrounding area was searched. Nothing was found to substantiate the threat.
Students and school staff were cleared to return to the school. Detectives from the Major Crimes Unit, along with Federal Authorities, are continuing with the investigation.
