On 04/08/22 at approximately 3:30 PM, Hamden Police officers responded to the TJ-Maxx store, 2335 Dixwell Avenue, on a reported shoplifting. The investigation revealed that a shoplifter, later identified as Jeffrey Tubman, concealed over $350.00 worth of items from the store in bags. Tubman exited the store without paying for the items and was stopped by the store’s loss prevention officers.
Tubman also had six active arrest warrants from various towns for Failure to Appear 2nd Degree.
Jeffrey Tubman, age 56, of New Haven was charged with Larceny 6th Degree and assigned a court date of 04/26/22 at Meriden Superior Court. He was held on a $1000.00 bond for the shoplifting charge and an additional $14,000.00 in court set bonds on the outstanding failure to appear warrants.
Officer Scott Jason and Officer Ronald Glifort were the investigating officers.
