TRAFFIC UPDATE for Whitney Avenue (Route 10)
Regional Water Authority is reporting that the repairs on Whitney Avenue (Route 10) are expected to continue throughout the day and into this evening. The repairs are due to an earlier motor vehicle accident, in which a hydrant was struck. The accident caused excessive water on the roadway.
Whitney Avenue remains closed in both directions on Whitney Avenue between Mt. Carmel Avenue and Sherman Avenue.
Traffic delays are expected during the rush hour commute on Wednesday evening. Motorists are advised to avoid the area and take alternate routes, if possible.
