On March 27th at approximately 2:20p.m. Hamden Police responded to a Blue Hills Avenue address on a “welfare check.” Officers received information that an elderly couple that resides at the Blue Hills Avenue home “hadn’t been seen in weeks.”

Hamden Police, with the assistance of the Hamden Fire Department forced entry to gain access to the inside of the residence. Police and fire personnel subsequently discovered the deceased bodies of 2 elderly people.

The Hamden Police Department Detective Division responded to assume the investigation. The bodies were transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Farmington for autopsies.

Identification of the deceased individuals is pending.
