On April 5th Hamden Police responded to Dix Street on the report of threatening.

Investigation revealed that 2 juveniles were involved in a physical altercation. One of the juveniles was in the possession of a knife. Shortly thereafter, the juvenile that possessed the knife, followed another juvenile into his residence. Once inside, a physical altercation ensued. The juvenile fled from the scene when the police were alerted.

Moments later, Officer Matthew Barbuto observed the juvenile that fought with the 2 youths, wielded a knife and forcibly entered a residence, walking on Dix Street. He was promptly arrested.

The juvenile, a 15 year-old Hamden resident, was charged with Burglary in the 2nd Degree, Threatening and Disorderly Conduct. He is scheduled to appear in Juvenile Court in New Haven on April 19th.
