On April 13th at approximately 1:00a.m. Hamden Police responded to the area of Dixwell Avenue and Woodin Street on the report of a shooting.

Investigation revealed that the victim, a 46 year-old Hamden resident, stopped at a service station to purchase gasoline. While seated inside of his vehicle, he was approached by an individual, described as a black male, 20’s, 6’2”, with braided hair. The victim opened the door of his vehicle, which caused the subject to “stumble backwards.” The victim then observed a firearm in the subject’s hand. The victim subsequently fled in his vehicle towards Fourth Street. The subject fired several gunshots, striking the victim’s vehicle multiple times.
