On April 22nd at 8:00a.m. Hamden Police responded to the parking lot of 2335 Dixwell Avenue on the report of a robbery, involving a knife.

Investigation revealed that a 47 year-old North Haven resident was placing his recently purchased groceries inside of his vehicle, when he was approached by an individual holding a knife. The individual, described as a black male, 18 to 21 years of age, 5’10”, thin build, with short curly hair, demanded the victim’s groceries and cell phone. The victim surrendered his groceries and then “screamed” for help. The suspect fled on foot, before entering a red Ford Fusion, Connecticut registration AB47088. The vehicle, which was operated by a heavy-set black female, was last observed traveling on Dixwell Avenue.
