On April 21st at approximately 7:50p.m. Hamden Police responded to the area of Dixwell Avenue and Colony Street on the report of a motor vehicle accident involving a motorcycle.

Investigation revealed that a motorcycle, which was operated by 28 year-old Eric Weinstein of North Haven, was traveling westbound on Dixwell Avenue. A vehicle, which was operated by a 54 year-old East Haven resident, proceeded onto Dixwell Avenue from a stopped position on Colony Street. The vehicle was subsequently struck by the motorcycle.

Hamden Fire Rescue rendered medical assistance to Weinstein, who is listed in critical condition with serious, life-threatening injuries. He was transported to Yale-New Haven Hospital for medical treatment.
