On April 29th at approximately 10:45p.m. Hamden Police responded to 835 Mix Avenue on the report of 2 males illegally entering motor vehicles.

Investigation revealed that several vehicles were entered and that numerous items were stolen. The suspects were observed fleeing inside of a “black hatchback type vehicle.”

Moments later, Officer Gabriel Garcia located the suspects, Eric Grimes and Brian Badra, in the parking lot of 630 Mix Avenue. They were in the possession of several stolen items, including a backpack, fishing pole, baseball equipment and electronic equipment. They were immediately arrested and transported to Hamden Police Headquarters.

Hamden Police arrested:

Eric Grimes, 25, of 900 Mix Avenue, Apartment #12, Hamden and Brian Badra, 24, of 101 Heather Road, Hamden. They were both charged with Burglary in the 3rd Degree, Conspiracy to Commit Burglary in the 3rd Degree, Possession of Burglar Tools, Larceny in the 6th Degree and Conspiracy to Commit Larceny in the 6th Degree. Grimes and Badra, who were both detained on a $3,000.00 bond, are scheduled to appear in court in Meriden on May 15th.
