On May 15th at approximately 8:30a.m. Hamden Police responded to the area of Pine Rock Avenue and Blacy Street on the report of a motor vehicle accident.

Investigation revealed that a vehicle was traveling southbound on Pine Rock Avenue and failed to “negotiate” a curve in the roadway. The vehicle subsequently crashed into a tree. The impact sent the vehicle into a house.

The operator was transported to Yale-New Haven Hospital for “assessment.” The Town of Hamden Building Inspector responded to assess the structural damage to the house.

Officer Stephen DeGrand of the Hamden Police Department Traffic Division is conducting the investigation.
